This is suchhhhh a good conversation. So many important points brought up and so much insight shared. But still with Maddy’s signature good natured snark and sarcasm. Incredible. Thank you, father!!

Why no drag kings? I think people, Ru included, still prefer to objectify female-presenting people. The average straight wants to look at pretty faces and pleasing shapes. Her famous first song is Supermodel. Drag kings embrace the roughness of the male stereotype presentation. It's not entertaining to look like the chippendales, so the objectified male isn't often represented.

Thank you for interviewing Landon Cider. I have been a huge fan for awhile and think that it truly is high time that they got booked to do Drag Race. #fuckthepatriarchy

I am so happy about this conversation on misogyny and patriarchy in (aspects of) drag race. at the end, despite its important and impactful discourse, its another example of an industry dominated by (mostly) men. even dominating conversations on feminity. and it gets my guts if men who celeberate their "feminity" on stage talk down about female bodies. nope, does not cut it.

german here, maddie idk WHEN you've been to berlin but germany has been reunited for 35 years, idk what led to your experience but there is no cultural differences anymore between east and west berlin 😂 the only difference between west germans and east germans now is that the easterners talk a little weird and a scary high % of them vote far right/libertarian but those ppl you definitley don't ever meet in berlin, they are more like our hillbillies 😂😂

I never watched Dragula, but I got to know Landon's presence after the fact and I absolutely adore him. He's such an awesome person and performer.

It’s so good how obsessed Maddy is with Plane’s name. It’s been forever!!! Also, why no one’s talking how similar to Kylie Sonique miss Plane looks? Must be only me then. If Ru is too narrow-minded to have drag kings on her show, I look forward to the eventuality of a drag king competition show much like RuPaul's Drag Race. Someone jump on that idea quick before Ru does it! There is a A LOT of drag king talent we are missing out on. Also, Landon is SO talented! ALSO, bravo to Maddy for being a drag king today, and always being an ally!

I think Drag Race needs a complete revamp. Make it truly the Olympics of drag. Worldwide casting. Drag kings, queens, and performers. Make it truly a competitive competition.

Man I feel so bad for the kings in general. Tbh I'm in the camp of watching mostly drag race and getting my drag info from there, but watching this interview I feel like there's genuinely a large part that could accentuate Drag in general (and drag race) so well. I haven't seen Dragula but definitely gonna check that out. Also I'd love the pov from a Drag King during a drag race challenge since just a fresh perspective (like making fun of masculinity, something that Victoria Scorn did do a little bit in her one season) would be so cool. Rooting for the kings to be represented better in the future!
